Biography:

Star-Lord, as portrayed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is Peter Quill, a human abducted from Earth as a child following his mother's death. He was raised by the Ravagers, a group of space pirates led by Yondu Udonta.

In the film Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), which marks his first appearance, Quill operates independently, calling himself Star-Lord, as a mercenary and treasure hunter. He seeks the Orb, unaware of its true power, and joins forces with Gamora, Drax, Rocket Raccoon, and Groot to prevent it from falling into the hands of Ronan the Accuser.

Star-Lord possesses a signature Aero-Rig which allows him to quickly manoeuvre through the air in the battle environment.

His background, including his parentage involving Ego, a Celestial being, is explored throughout the Guardians of the Galaxy films. Star-Lord ultimately embraces his role as a leader and protector, working alongside the Guardians to defend the galaxy from various threats.
